Catherine Morissette

Member of the Québec Bar Association since May 2005, Mrs Morissette held a private practice until March 2007, at which point, she was elected to the National Assembly as a deputy for Charlesbourg for the Action démocratique du Québec party. Spokeswoman of the official opposition in immigration and in cultural communities, Mrs Morissette also chaired the Committee on Labour and the Economy, becoming the youngest elected representative to chair a standing committee.

Since returning to her private practice in September 2009, Mrs Morissette has been developing her clientele mainly in the region of Quebec, in particular by means of the social media which she considers a powerful marketing tool. Moreover, in June 2010, she revealed to Marie-Josée Nantel of the Le Soleil newspaper that she estimates that 40% of her clientele was developed via Twitter.
