David Gold
David Gold is founder and chief executive of Spindle Research, Inc., which builds collaborative research services for professionals, both in-house and on the open web. Its community-built legal research site, Spindle Law, organizes the law in a new way, guiding lawyers quickly to the legal information they need. Content is created and curated by legal experts and by a community of lawyer-contributors.
A reviewer described Spindle Law as “unlike any research method you learned in school … it is a backwards (read: totally intuitive) way of drilling into legal rules and finding the authorities to support them … The site is very straightforward and easy to use, and has killer functionality.” (Lawyerist, http://bit.ly/coaEX7). Spindle Law also opens a new forum for discussion, debate, and collaboration among lawyers and legal academics with shared interests.
Before launching Spindle, David was a litigator in New York City and a law clerk on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He holds a J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he served on the Columbia Law Review, a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania, and an A.B. from Brown University.
