Omar Ha-Redeye is a Student-at-Law articling at Fireman Steinmetz, a litigation boutique in Toronto. His previous careers include nuclear medicine technology, health management, and public relations. He graduated from the University of Western Ontario law school in 2010.
Despite being relatively new to the legal field, Omar has already made an impression on the legal community. He founded Law is Cool, the largest law school site in Canada, is a regular contributor to Slaw.ca, and writes for The Lawyers Weekly. In addition to numerous volunteer activities, he is one of the more visible members of the online legal community in Canada.
By drawing on his communications background he is also able to provide some unique insights on the intersection between reputation management and the law, and has taught seminars on the subject at York University. He also teaches law-related courses in its intersection with technology at Ryerson University.
He is frequently contacted by professionals, including lawyers, private industries, and even law firms on the subject of reputation management, and has maintained a private consulting firm on the side for the past 9 years.
